As a joint PhD candidate between the department of Biomedical Engineering, Maastricht University and the LIRYC research institute / hospital in Bordeaux my research approach typically combines computer modeling with clinical and experimental to gain mechanistic insights in cardiac electromechanics and hemodynamics in the healthy and diseased heart. My research focuses on the mechanisms leading to electro-mechanical dyssynchrony in various types of heart failure, and their treatment with cardiac resynchronization therapy.
